Last updated: July 28, 2026

MetroClass.org is a signal-collection page for a proposed initiative. This policy explains what information we collect from you and how we use it.

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • The category you selected (e.g. worried parent, worried student)
  • Your zip code
  • The time of your signup

We also automatically collect:

  • Your approximate IP address (stored in hashed form, not as raw IP)
  • Your browser type (user agent)

How we use it

We use this information to:

  • Count how many people support the MetroClass idea
  • Send you occasional email updates about major MetroClass news
  • Understand where in the country interest is strongest
  • Detect and prevent automated signups (bots)

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. Analytics on this site are handled by Vercel Analytics, which does not track individual users.

Email

You will receive a confirmation email when you sign up, and occasional major updates about MetroClass. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying "remove" to any email we send. We use Resend to deliver email.

Data storage

Your data is stored in Firebase (a Google Cloud service) in the United States. It is protected by industry-standard security practices.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask for it to be deleted at any time by emailing nav@metroclass.org. We will honor deletion requests within 30 days.
